Korean romantic comedies were never quite like this! Dae Woo, is a university lecture of English, yet due to his awkward and shy nature around women, his never been on a date with a woman. However a beautiful art student Lee Mi-na moves into his apartment complex. Dae-woo asks her out and finds himself in an almost too good to be true relationship. Yet, Mi-na seems to be hiding something sinister and Dae-woo encounters an interesting twist to his fairy tale.
My scary girl has all the typical romantic setups but it turns the whole genre upside down. The unexpected result makes the movie delirious and tremendously refreshing!
Personally I really love Daewoo's character, theres no guy that is sincere and pure as him.
